Building a Practice in a Law Firm as a Non-Lawyer/Patent Agent
Presented by the Patent Agent & IP Managers Committee
Professional roles within a law firm can be characterized as Grinder, Finder, and Minder. A patent agent’s role is traditionally the Grinder hired to do work acquired by the Finders and managed by the Minders. However, opportunities exist for patent agents to incorporate Finder and Minder duties, especially if you pave the way. This seminar focuses on professional development plans and how to use them for creating Finder and Minder opportunities.
