Any law student currently enrolled in an ABA approved law school may join HIPLA as a student affiliate. Dues for student affiliates are $25.00 per year. Persons remain eligible as student affiliates for one year after graduation from law school. After becoming a member of a state bar, however, a student affiliate member has until the following March 1 to become an active member of HIPLA if he or she is actively engaged in the profession of intellectual property law, including patent, trademark, copyright, and related law. A student affiliate is entitled to all membership privileges except those of voting or holding office. Student affiliates are invited to attend the monthly membership luncheon meetings at the student rate of $25.00.
The HIPLA membership year begins on July 1. All memberships that have not been renewed for 2011-2012 do not appear in the online database. You can renew your HIPLA membership by credit card through our secure online interface.
The HIPLA membership database is self-managing via a password-protected process. Go to the administrative page to have your password emailed to you. Then you can log into the membership database and update your own membership information. If you have changed email addresses, notify the webmaster and she will update this information and send you your password.
